Melanie Beth Curran writes songs that are lyrical and personal, paying homage to the well-traveled fault-lines of American music. Her mesmerizing performances span genre and time period: From classic country to cosmopolitan standards, through Irish folk traditionals and their American translations.

Her second album, San Benedito Beach, was released on October 23rd, 2021 at People’s Beach Day. The event was sponsored by The City Artist Corps Grant from The New York Foundation for The Arts.

Melanie is based out of New York City originally hails from Washington State. She plays with Wyndham Baird on electric guitar, Annie Ford on fiddle and backing vocals, Robbie Morshead on drums, and herself on banjo, fiddle, vocals and guitar.

Melanie is available for engagements as a solo act, or in duo or trio configurations.

Curran has a talent for observing cultural touchstones, connecting the natural world with the human experience poetically, and condensing all that into vignettes of song.
